Your New Life in Christ

“For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with Him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.”
Colossians 2:12 (NLT)

Each year, we witness the miracle of life change at our annual Super Summer Baptism Celebration at Woodlands Church!  It’s a great public display of faith and my favorite event of the year! What a thrill to see God at work, healing hurts and restoring lives! Each one is a “grace story”, and we’ve literally witnessed thousands of them! Here’s Kim’s story of the new life she received in Christ. Just listen as she shares her story in her own words.

Just as God is writing her story, He is writing yours!  Have you committed your life to Christ? Have you taken that first step of obedience in baptism as a Christ follower? In Colossians 2:12 (NLT), the Bible says, “For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with Him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.”

Jesus began His earthly ministry with a public baptism!  Miracles followed that simple step of obedience to His Father.  I wonder what miracle will follow your experience as you take that same step of baptism.

If you missed the first opportunity to be baptized, join us at our Super Summer Baptism 2 Celebration this weekend at a Woodlands Church campus near you.  Register now and experience your own new life in Christ!

Another important part of your daily devotional is spending time with God in prayer. The Woodlands Church Prayer Board lists prayer requests submitted by our members and provides a way to send them some encouragement by using a button on the page to let them know that you prayed for them. Whether you use the Prayer Board, or pray from your heart, the goal is to build the habit of incorporating prayer into your quiet time.

Need prayer yourself? Let us know by submitting a prayer request on the Woodlands Church Prayer Board.
